A Prayer by Padre Pio

Father
Thank You for each and every day You have blessed us here on earth.
Thank You for Your tender mercies.
Thank You for giving us friends and family to share life’s joys.
I ask You to bless my friends, relatives and those I care deeply for, who are reading this right now.
Where there is joy, give them continued joy.
Where there is pain, give them your peace and mercy.
Where there is self-doublt, release a renewed confidence.
Where there is need, fulfill their needs.
Bless their homes, families, finances, their goings and their comings. In the name of the Creator, Amen.
“Prayer is the Oxygen of the Soul. Prayer is the Best weapon we have; it is the key to God’s Heart. You must speak to Jesus not only with your lips, but with your heart. In fact, on certain occasions, you should only speak to him with your heart” ~~~ Padre Pio

May you have Love to Share, Health to Spare, and Friends that Care.

I am excited about the prayers of Padre Pio. I am more excited about the Josephite devotion to the Society’s patron saint and the Josephite’s prayers. My favorite prayer from the Josephites follows:

Help us to persevere in our vocation, to be zealous to the Salvation of Souls, and daily grow in love for you and for each other. Help our families to be faithful to you and to live the gospel of Christ. Abide with us in our daily cares. In your peace may we find freedom from anxiety. In your love may we find consolation in sorrow. In your strength may we find the courage to cope with all that concerns us in our daily family life.

Grant also to many of our sons and daughters, the vocation to join the ranks of priests, brothers and sisters who serve the spiritual needs of African Americans AND THE LARGER CHURCH.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us. St Joseph, protector of family life, pray for us.
